I sang at a beautiful event for the London Meditation Centre last week. It was lovely to sing the album in a really spacious way, just Kieran Coughlan on guitar and me. It made me excited for this Autumn’s tour. The only downside was that I couldn’t wear shoes in the space and LOOK AT THEM.
I’m excited to be hosting the Transmission Prize at Foyles Bookshop tonight. Set up by Salon London to celebrate the communication of inspiring ideas, the shortlist includes how science is re-designing the rules of sex, how 100 years of Black music have influenced London, why our drugs policies just aren’t working and a concise history of the Arabs, that asks us to consider what has led to recent sweeping changes in that part of the world.
